Home Coffee Cafe on Liebig Street is a bustling spot that blends the casual vibe of a neighborhood cafe with the variety of a breakfast and lunch restaurant. The place tends to attract locals and families looking for a relaxed morning or midday meal paired with seriously good coffee. Expect a warm atmosphere where the staff are clearly attentive and approachable, adding a friendly layer to the experience that complements the food and drink.

The menu leans heavily on fresh, hearty breakfast and lunch options. The elevated avocado toast on sourdough is a standout that fits well with the laid-back café style, while the mushroom medley and salads offer lighter but satisfying choices. For those who prefer something more substantial, the café’s hamburgers and big breakfast options reflect a comfort-food angle that works well for both families and solo diners. Sweet tooths won’t leave disappointed — the carrot cake here has a reputation that matches its rich texture and flavor.

The coffee is clearly a focus and a point of pride, with locals often mentioning the quality of the café latte and cappuccino. The iced latte works well on warmer days, making this a great stop during a mid-morning or early afternoon walk through Warrnambool’s town. There’s a casual energy, filled with ambient music and chatter, that suits groups and families alike. Kids are welcome, and the provision of a dedicated kids menu means it’s an easy choice for parents seeking a fuss-free dining experience with younger ones.

Overall, the best time to visit is for breakfast or early lunch, when the place feels lively but not overcrowded. It’s a spot where you can settle in with a good book, catch up with friends, or start your day with a coffee crafted to showcase local barista skill. Visitors looking for a quick espresso kick or a leisurely brunch will find Home Coffee Cafe fits comfortably into everyday Warrnambool life without any pretense.

Lovely cafe. Had the salmon stack and a strong latte. Prices on the mid/high end, but good portion size and very tasty. Soft jazz in the background was a bonus

A great experience! I really like the coffee here. It reminds me of my homeland, Vietnam. The food is also very delicious, carefully prepared by the owner. You should come here!
